Learn Portuguese in Maceio, enjoy your Portuguese learning vacation in the capital of the state of Alagoas.
Maceio offers beautiful beaches, natural swimming pools formed at low tide, lagoons and a tropical climate (average temperature 25 degree C). The city has a wide range of cultural places including the historic district with it's unique architecture.
Located in the Ponta Verde district, a modern residential area less than 10 minutes walk to the beach.
Housed in two adjoining buildings, tropical plants and a garden surround the school and students and teachers spend much time relaxing in the gardens. Close to all amenities and most of the host families are within walking distance of the school.
Highlights:
You have the following course options:
* 4 lessons daily: (20 group lessons per week)
* 4 lessons daily: (20 private lessons per week)
* 6 lessons daily: (30 group lessons per week)
- We accept all language levels / ages 18+
- A "lesson" usually lasts approx. 50 minutes
- Course runs Monday through Friday (mornings 9am)
- Loan of course materials are included
- Placement test and orientation on first day of course
- Maximum 10 students per group class

After class and weekend activities:
Enjoy social and cultural outings during the week: every 2 weeks the school organizes a FREE cultural day excursion to historical, ecological or tourist places of interest such as: Marechal Deader, S. Francisco river, Penned, Maurice forest.
Other activities include cooking classes, Brazilian dance classes - samba, forro, ritmos variados.
CAPOEIRA: Classes in the Brazilian martial art/dance considered to be an essential part of cultural heritage. Local groups lead you to both playful and serious interactions with this beautiful tradition.
Optional weekend excursions: Marechal Deader, S. Francisco river, Penned, Maurice forest, Ilha Grande (island off the coast), Itatiaia National Park or just enjoy the beautiful beaches.
