Salvador was the first slave market in the New World with many sugar plantations, the city has managed to preserve many outstanding Renaissance buildings and the old town houses are brightly painted coloured houses, often decorated with fine stucco-work. This region is also known for its beautiful beaches.
Located in the neighbourhood of Barra only 15 minutes from the historic center (Pelourinho) and 5 minutes from the beach. The area is fashionable and residentially up-market, containing good shops, cheap restaurants and trendy bars.

* 4 lessons daily: (20 group lessons per week)
* 6 lessons daily: (30 group lessons per week)

- A "lesson" usually lasts approx. 50 minutes
- Course runs Monday through Friday (mornings)

- Placement test and orientation on first day of course

After class and weekend activities:
Enjoy social and cultural outings during the week with other students from the school. Courses are supplemented with a wide variety of fascinating opportunities to learn about Portuguese and local culture. Activities could include: workshops in local music, food, dance and Capoeira. Play soccer with the local or go see a professional game, even learn to surf or scuba dive!
