Description:
This Spanish immersion program takes place in Ecuador, the most peaceful and safest country in South America. The country has some of the world's oldest rainforests, the highest active volcano in the world, and the amazing Galapagos Islands. You will find Amazonian tribes clinging to their traditional way of life, a thriving Andean culture, and Latin America's oldest Indigenous market. Our school is well-known throughout Quito for its quality of instruction thanks to its small class sizes and one-on-one attention from the teachers. It is school is located in the tourist district of Quito, with numerous nearby conveniences and only 15 minutes from the historical area. The school also houses a library, a video-screening room, a garden and a cafeteria with free tea and coffee available at any time.
All of our offered course programs are given as private lessons of either 20, 25, 30, or 35 hours per week. Courses are available at all levels and you can define your area of interest (Business Spanish, Spanish for Teachers, Spanish Literature, Spanish in Tourism, Medical Spanish...)
Highlights:
A complete schedule of activities is organized by the school, at no additional cost, to supplement immersion into the local culture of the country and to offer students further opportunity to practice their Spanish outside of the classroom. A welcome party is organized at the beginning of the week, as well as a film-screening night, visits to museums, local markets and tourist sites. These activities take place during the week, after courses. One salsa dancing lesson per week is offered to students depending on the number of people who wish to participate (minimum 5), and a cooking course is also organized as well. Each Friday, there is an evening excursion to la Ciudad Antigua organized for all students.
During the weekend, the school offers optional excursions (at an additional cost, paid on-site) to further discover the richness of the country: the famous Otavalo and Saquisili markets, Banos, Mindo, Rio Bamba, Mitad del Mundo, or the Cotopaxi Volcano (the highest active volcano in the world).
The activity program is determined each week and depends on the level of interest from students and the number of participants.
Host family accommodation is included, in a private room equipped with sheets and sufficient storage space, although you are asked to provide your own towel. You will share the house common rooms with the other members of the family. Half-board (2 meals per day) is included, as well as one load of wash per week. Easy Languages's Mission Statement: In this steadily shrinking world where studies and employment are taking an increasingly international tilt, active knowledge of foreign languages is becoming an indispensable skill for students, business people, and even tourists. These skills, however, are extremely difficult to acquire at home. A stay among native speakers of the target languages not only facilitates the learning process, but most experts agree that it is essential to becoming a truly fluent speaker.
With over 15 years of experience in organizing journeys abroad to study languages, we here at Easy Languages offer a range of courses for every age group, time line and budget. Our students participate in everything from week long holiday trips to England to year long exchanges in Costa Rica.
As opposed to the majority of organizations offering services similar to ours, we do not charge any administrative price supplements. There are no hidden costs in any of our programs. All of our prices are clearly displayed in one convenient, readable table directly on the summary page of each program. We are a company that values honesty and believes that full disclosure is part of that commitment.
