Description:
This Dutch language immersion program offers intensive group courses consisting of 18 hours of lessons (45 minutes each lesson) per week and an individualized study program. Classes are designed for students with an intermediate knowledge of Dutch equivalent to 3 to 6 years in school. During the summer this program is supplemented with 5 hours of activities in Dutch per week. We also offer private lessons, consisting of a choice between 10, 15 and 20 individual lessons at school, plus 10 hours of supervised individual work. This is a very efficient way for motivated participants to reach their goals and make quick progress.
Antwerp is a very animated metropolis and home to the most important universities in Flanders. The old city holds plenty of charm for those who prefer a quieter outlook on Europe; many of the old buildings have been conserved, including the beautiful Gothic and renaissance facades surrounding the town market. Antwerp also boasts an animated night life, with pubs and night clubs famous world-wide.
Highlights:
Accommodation is typically in Dutch-speaking host families, providing students with a classroom outside of the classroom. Students are given a private room, although shared rooms can be given on request. For programs more than 4 weeks in length, student studio apartments are available and include kitchenette and bathroom with shower, sink, and toilet.
