Description:
Today the F+U Academy of Languages is one of the largest language schools in Germany. Every year, approximately 5,000 students from over 100 countries participate in our language courses in Heidelberg. Through its internationality, the school is a unique meeting point for other languages and cultures.
With 30 multimedia-equipped classrooms (up to 60 in summer), 3 Internet rooms with 50 PCs, WLAN, a small library and thanks to its central location in Heidelberg, the Academy of Languages fulfills all the criteria for transforming language lessons into a special experience.
Nine halls of residence with 240 rooms, a number of apartments, the schools own hotel and several host families all offer year-round accommodation to students arriving from outside Heidelberg.
With its specialist area of German as a Foreign Language, F+U Academy of Languages is one of the world leaders in the provision of German courses, whether in the form of intensive lessons in the mornings and afternoons, or extra-occupational evening courses.
As a test centre, the Academy of Languages stands for exceptional quality in language teaching. Alongside the best-known assessments such as TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) and TestDaF (Test Deutsch als Fremdsprache), the following exams can be taken here: Zertifikat Deutsch, Zertifikat Deutsch für den Beruf, TOEIC (Test of English for International Communication), LCCI (London Chamber of Commerce and Industry) exams, TELC (The European Language Certificates), ECDL (the European Computer Driving Licence), TestAS (certification to demonstrate international applicants suitability for study) and OnDaF.
Of particular significance is the Vocational School for Foreign Languages, established in 2004, where it is possible to study towards the state recognised qualifications of Fremdsprachenkorrespondent/in (Foreign Language Correspondent Clerk), Europasekretär/in (European Secretary) and Translator.
The Academy of Languages rounds off its range of services with the organization of language tours in every continent.
