Description:
Study Spanish in a prosperous residential area of Ecuador's capital city, Quito. As you wander the streets of this charming UNESCO World Heritage city, you will see plenty of cafes, pubs, and bars, remnants of Spanish colonial and Inca cultures, and even snow-capped volcanoes in the distance.
Our school in Quito is located in an upscale, residential area of the city. While in Quito, we can arrange lodging for you in the student residence, which gives you more independence during your study abroad experience, or if you want to be fully immersed in Ecuadorian language and culture, why not choose to live with a native host family!
The school also offers a wide range of course options, including Standard, Super-Intensive, and Private Spanish Lessons, as well as Business Spanish, Spanish and Culture, and Volunteer Work. If you are looking for a course that is a little more adventurous, try our Language and Activity course, where you can combine a normal language course with 5 private activities per week, including a tour of Quito and a visit to the Pichincha Volcano! On our unique Cloud Forest course, your will have Spanish lessons in the morning, and in the afternoon you will discover the Andes Mountains through horseback riding, rafting, bird watching, and even waterfall rides!
Remember that the fun doesn't end in Quito -- you can divide your period of stay between Quito, Cusco (Peru), and Sucre (Bolivia). This is a great way to explore two or three very different South American cities, as well as learn how the Spanish accents differ in each country.
Highlights:
- Instructors are experienced and professionally-qualified teachers of Spanish as a foreign language
- The school has its own private garden and patio, a multimedia room, student cafeteria, and 18 well-equipped classrooms
- The school arranged weekly cultural activities for students, including Latin dance lessons, cookery classes, full-day excursions, and Spanish films and parties at the school
