Description: Qalam is a cultural center dedicated to providing a strong academic program for studies in Arabic as a foreign Language. Arabic courses taught at Qalam emphasize building a strong foundation in communication skills and are designed to ensure learners are confident using the language they are taught. Courses are offered in both Modern Standard Arabic and Colloquial Moroccan Arabic. Cultural Excursions to visit various points of interest in Morocco supplement the Arabic training and further enhance the immersion experience provided at Qalam.

From its towering city walls to its breath-taking Atlantic coastline, the Moroccan capital of Rabat will enchant and inspire you. In Rabat, centuries collide. Qalam Center is an oasis within the city of Rabat. Housed in a spacious villa and enclosed within it's own tranquil garden, the school is an ideal place to learn and also offers students plenty of space for quiet study or reflection.

Qalam instructors are all experts in teaching Arabic as a foreign language. They hail from some of the most prestigious Universities in Morocco and all hold advanced degrees specializing in Applied Linguistics and foreign language acquisition. Many of the Center's instructors also have experience teaching Arabic in American Universities while participating in a yearlong Fullbright exchange. They all are native Arabic speakers and they are also fluent in English and French.

The school facility is state-of-the-art, with traditional Moroccan carvings and mosaics throughout as well as modern necesities like wireless internet and student access computers. Qalam wa Lawh student services offers three types of accommodation for students; host families, school residence apartments, and downtown apartments.
