Description: The Freie Universität Berlin International Summer and Winter University (FUBiS) is an intensive, academic program through which students can earn credits that may be counted towards their degrees at their home institutions. FUBiS sessions run for 4 to 6 weeks and take place both in summer and winter. Emphasis is placed on the Humanities / Social Sciences and German language.

It is FUBiS' mission to provide international students with a premier study abroad program delivering the highest academic quality and furthering the development of intercultural competency skills.

FUBiS' goal is to provide a stimulating and rewarding experience academically, culturally, and personally.

title(s), number of contact hours, the number of credits earned, and the final
grade(s).
10. Students will be part of an international community. Participation in FUBiS furthers
the development of intercultural skills as students from more than 50 countries
attend FUBiS every year.
11. FUBiS offers plenty of extracurricular activities and excursions so students have the
chance to meet each other and make new friends.
12. FUBiS staff and facilitators are present and available for questions, help, and advise.
13. FUBiS arranges student housing, including homestays with Berlin families, upon
request.

The Program Fee includes - Official FUBiS transcript - FUBiS student ID - Access to computing (including Internet) and printing facilities on the campus - Guided Tour through the Reichstag Building and the Federal Parliament - River Boat Tour through Downtown Berlin (only offered in Summer) - Weekly Movie time presenting popular and well-known German Movies - Welcome and farewell dinners
