Description:
WVA offers Spanish language program packages at two different private universities (Universidad Latina & Universidad Veritas). Both universities are located in Costa Rica's capital, San Jose. The Spanish language programs are geared toward students at the beginning and intermediate levels of Spanish and elective are taught in English. Students with higher Spanish proficiency have access to all the regular elective courses that the universities offer.
Semester Program
All students are able to choose 4 classes between Spanish grammar and conversation, and elective courses in areas such as literature, painting, art, photography, politics, economics, sciences and environmental studies.
Note: Students with higher Spanish proficiency can combine their Spanish and elective courses with classes with Costa Ricans in areas such as business, teaching, humanities, accounting, computer sciences, and other art related courses.
Summer Program
This summer program combines the experience of acquiring a foreign language with cultural activities during the weekends. Students are able to take two classes and cover 90 contact hours of learning.
