Course Program
The Instituto Intercultural del Caribe (IIC) offers Preparation Courses for all levels of the DELE Diploma, strengthening specifically those language skills required for the exam. The courses cover 3 weeks of class with 30 lessons per week (6 lessons/day). Classes take place in mini-groups of max. 4 participants.
The DELE preparation courses are available in private tuition as well.
You can choose Sosua or Santo Domingo as course place. Examinations can be taken afterwards at renowned Pontificia Universidad Catolica Madre y Maestra (PUCMM) or at Universidad Iberoamericana (UNIBE), both in Santo Domingo. Before inscription, the IIC evaluates with a written and aural placement test the language level of the participant.
IIC was founded in 1994 as the Spanish Department of the German-Dominican Language and Culture Institute EDASE. With a school in Sosua and one in Santo Domingo, it has become one of the major institutions in the Dominican Republic offering Spanish as a foreign language. Besides classes, the IIC team also organizes excursions and outdoor activities for the students. In this way the students are enabled not only to learn Spanish but also to experience the Dominican Republic in an unique way.
