Qualifications / Skills Needed:
* Most of the volunteer and internships positions require an intermediate level of Spanish. Students can take Spanish courses at Verbum school to get the required level.
* The minimum commitment is a month. Participation in a volunteer opportunity is an excellent way to immerse oneself in Buenos Aires way of life. A volunteer program opens the door to many new and exciting opportunities. It also opens hearts and gives you the wonderful chance to experience local life first-hand and give a little something to the community.
* An internship program is a period of time spent training with an organization or company, in a position related to your field of study. It will give you useful work experience in order for you to develop your future career.
* In this case, both you and your host institution will benefit since you can exchange knowledge and ideas that will help you to develop within your profession. You will also gain self-confidence, improve your Spanish and be able to live in a different working environment whilst learning new skills from participating in different projects.

Verbum - School of Spanish's Mission Statement: We are a group of teachers devoted to the teaching of Spanish. We promote the study of Spanish abroad and encourage international cultural exchange. Our programs are directed to participants who want to discover the country, its language and its culture. They include university students and students-to-be as well as professionals needing general linguistic or specialized training.
Our aim is to focus tuition on the students in a friendly and stimulating environment where they can have the opportunity to develop the linguistic skills which are necessary to gain confidence in the language. We also foster knowledge about Latin American and Spain by providing information on their cultures, societies and politics.
