Our small class sizes guarantee a very personalized learning experience suited to each individual's needs and goals. International Gateway Kelowna was established in 2002 and is Kelowna's original ESL school. IGK is Canadian family owned and operated and is a proud member of the Thompson Okanagan Tourism Association, the Kelowna-Kasugai Sister City Association, the Kelowna Chamber of Commerce, and C.F.I.B. International Gateway Kelowna is an official Cambridge exam testing centre. Our trendy downtown campus is located on the second floor of the Towne Centre Mall within walking distance of beaches, attractions, entertainment, shops and transportation.
English for Life at IGK
The main emphasis of our programs are on communication and on functional English for daily life. We also offer Cambridge, TOEFL and TOEIC exam preparation. Practical ESL programs begin weekly for Ages 16 and up (12 and up-July through September). The minimum class size is 3 and the maximum is 10.

*Executive - Full Time - Monday-Friday 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
30 hours per week
*Full time - Monday-Friday 9:00 a.m. - 2:55 p.m.
25 hours per week
*Part time - Monday-Friday 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon
15 hours per week
-In the morning we offer 5 levels of Practical English from Beginner to Advanced that focus on the combined skills of reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary, listening and speaking.
-In the afternoon we offer a selection of electives including: Conversation, Media, Pronunciation, Business English, Canadian History and Culture, TOEFL, TOEIC and Cambridge (PET, FCE, CAE, CPE) exam preparation.
