Study French or English in Montreal, Canada
  Canada
  • Quebec:
  • Montreal

Term: Throughout the year
Dates: Weekly/Monthly

Description: We are a leader in language training for cultural and commercial institutions as well as for individual students. Located in the heart of downtown Montreal, the school offers a complete selection of services and a full range of class levels. Additionally, we are recognized by the Canadian Ministry of Immigration and the Quebec Ministry of Education, as well as by the International Association of Language Centers (IALC). Teachers are university graduates with training in second-language instruction. Teachers use both proven traditional techniques and the latest teaching innovations.

Both English and French studies are offered. The school is close to public transit as well as a wide variety of shops and restaurants. Classrooms are light and bright with ample space for each student. The extensive Student Resource Centre is a multi-media facility. It contains computers, CD-ROM, audio materials, and a reading room. Students can take advantage of the Student Resource Centre for independent or guided study. The school has full-time staff dedicated to each service area yet is small enough to know each of their students on a first-name basis.

Canada is the second largest country in the world and has one of the best standards of living. A bilingual nation with English and French as its two official languages, Canada possesses some of the world's leading educational institutions and hosts students from around the world.

About Montreal

The city of Montreal is unique in North America. It was founded in 1642 by French settlers and retains an old-world Latin pace of life. The old city center still has its ancient stone buildings, stone paved roads and horse-drawn carriages. With a population of 2.8 million, Montreal is the largest French-speaking city in the world next to Paris; yet it has an English-speaking population larger than that of the total population of Ottawa, the nation's capital. Montreal is a gourmet capital of North America with its myriad of restaurants, offering an excellent selection of the world's finest cuisine. Attractions include the 1967 World Fair site with its La Ronde Amusement Park, the 1976 Olympic site, museums, art galleries and the nearby Laurentian mountain range dotted with lakes.

Please contact the nearest Canadian Embassy or Consulate for advice on any visas or special regulations that may apply and an estimate on how long the process might take. Plan Ahead!
