Join this fascinating GVI language course and live in the Ecuadorian Andes in the picturesque town of Otavalo. You will learn Spanish while experiencing the beauty of South America. For all levels of Spanish speakers, whether you have never spoken a word or you want to brush up on your existing skills, you can enroll in this Spanish School for any length of time, from one week upwards. Each week you will learn Spanish with twenty hours of one-to-one classes (based on skill level), and can practice with your host family and Otavalo's locals anytime.
Weekend visits to the beach, jungle and capital city of Quito, plus many outdoor activities are easy to arrange and some are included in the program, such as a trip to the 'Mitad del Mundo' (Spanish for 'Middle of the World') monument at the Equator.
Highlights:
Nestled high in the Andes, a few hours from Ecuador's capital city, students will stay in the picturesque town Otavalo, situated in a valley surrounded by three volcano peaks. This market town is famous for its handicraft market and indigenous Andean community, and is a popular destination for visitors to the country. The town has many amenities, including the Spanish school, internet, bars and restaurants, as well as a maze of beautiful streets lined with carved statues for you to explore.
