Description:
Undergraduate students on the AYA Salzburg program enjoy an extensive curriculum taught in German by Salzburg faculty; program-sponsored courses include German language and literature, history, political science, current events, geography, music and art history. Qualified students may also enroll in regular courses at the University of Salzburg. The program cost for Ohio residents is about the same as a year on the home campus in Bowling Green. The BGSU AYA program follows the Austrian university calendar, which runs from Oct. 1 to June 30. Lodging for both graduates and undergraduates is in well-kept student dormitories within the city of Salzburg, usually with an Austrian roommate. All students participate in travel opportunities (Vienna, Berlin) and cultural events (concert series in the Festspielhaus, Thanksgiving), many of which are included in the cost of the program.
